Alone we can do so little together we can do so much

Moving Towards Greater Healing & Health

ABOUT ME

My name is Mirela, and I am a registered social worker with a Master of Arts is Theology in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from Wilfrid Laurier University (2019). I have been working with clients since 2017, specializing in problematic sexual behaviour and its effect on the individual, the spouse or partner, and the coupleship.

I am a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (IITAP), a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (IATP), and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers, and Social Service Workers.

It is my privilege to walk alongside my clients as they move towards greater healing and health.

Hope Changes Everything...

but sometimes life circumstances can make it difficult to find hope in the midst of what feels like overwhelming darkness. I offer a non-judgmental space to explore past and current issues that may be contributing to the feeling of hopelessness. I work with clients to help uncover the underlying issues that are driving problematic behaviours.

Along with talk therapy I use mindful movement and creative interventions to allow clients a full range of expression, and a more holistic approach to healing and recovery. My approach is gentle, and client centred. Together we create realistic goals and work collaboratively to help you successfully meet your goals.

I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and work with clients that have experienced trauma, particularly in childhood or as a result of a spouse’s compulsive sexual behaviours. We can’t change the circumstances of our past, but we can change our relationship to our past. One small step today can start your journey of healing. It is my privilege to walk with you on your journey.
